John Parkinson was the Rev. John's great-nephew. Baptised John Wright
Parkinson at Auckland St. Andrew, Co. Durham, on 11th October 1813, he
was the son of John Parkinson and Dorothy Calvert, Dorothy being the
daughter of Rev. John's sister Grace, by Roger Calvert.
Edward Parkinson is living with his mother, Grace Warriner (nee Parkinson)
in 1851:

Grace was the daughter of John Parkinson and Dorothy Calvert. Edward
was baptized in Wensley, 3 August 1845, several years before William
and Grace's marriage. The father is not listed on the baptism record.
There are two Parkinsons living with the Rev. John Calvert:

Dorothy is the Rev. John's niece, the mother of the John Parkinson
seen in the 1841 census. Dorothy was baptized 28 January 1782 in
Richmond, the daughter of Roger and Grace Calvert. She married John
Parkinson 8 December 1812 at Auckland St. Andrew, County Durham.
They had four known children:
- John Wright: baptized 11 October 1813, Auckland
- William Calvert: baptized 5 June 1815, Auckland
- Mary: born 1819, Darlington
- Grace: born 1824, Darlington
Dorothy is still living in the village in 1861, following the Rev. John's
death in 1856. Here she is living with James Stringer-Calvert, who would
be Dorothy's first cousin, once removed:
