Henry Rogers was baptized in Redmire 18 October 1777, the son of Thomas Rogers and Isabella, nee Alderson. On 26 February 1801, Henry married Elizabeth Lambert. Elizabeth was the daughter of John and Faith (nee Chapman), baptized in Castle Bolton 18 October 1772.

Henry and Elizabeth had 8 children, including the above John:

  3. Thomas: baptized 13 April 1806
  4. Faith: baptized 24 July 1808
  5. Betty: baptized 6 January 1811

Since the last census, Henry died (18 December 1848) and was buried in Redmire on 21 December 1848, aged 71. His wife Elizabeth died shortly after this census, on 12 August 1752, and was buried in Redmire 15 August 1852, aged 79.

This is the last time a Rogers appears in the Castle Bolton census. By 1863, John was living in the Leyburn Union Workhouse. He died 1 March 1863 and was buried in Redmire, 3 March 1863 aged 59.
