This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Other of Elm House in the parish of Wensley in the county of York esquire, made this ? day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four.

I give to my daughters Elizabeth Alice, Isabella, Margaret and Alice Elizabeth the following articles and all sucj others as I before have given them that is to say, To Elizabeth Alice and Alice Elizabeth one bed and bedstead with the appendages? between them. To Isabella and Margaret another bed and bedsteadbetween them. To Elizabeth Alice, Isabella and Margaret one ? of ? ? and to Alice Elizabeth I give and bequeath the sum of five pounds for the purpose of ? her ? to be paid by me executor out of my personal estate before any division shall be made thereof I give to my daughters who shall be married at my decease the ? ?. I give together with her? ? last year and the poucy? carriage and all the boots which I have given them. I give to my son Thomas my silver tankard and to my son Edward my ? and any other pro(?) I have given them. I give to all my sons and daughters all my silver plate to be equally divided between them share and share alike. I give to my son Christopher all the residue of my household goods and furniture, linen, (?), wines and spirituous liquors to and for his own use and benefit. I give to my friend? Ralph Lodge? of New? ? in Bishopdale in the county of York esquire and Thomas John Masterman of Little Danby in the said county esquire their executors ? and assigns all the residue of my cattle, horses, sheep and husbandry (?) of any description whatsoever upon trust to allow my son Christopher to take and enjoy the same upon a valuation being made thereof by the said Ralph Lodge and Thomas John Masterman or either of them and my son Christopher paying for the same a one third part of the value thereof to my said son Thomas and paying another third part to be retained by them the said Ralph Lodge and Thomas John Masterman for the benefit of my said son Edward until he attains the age of twenty one years.

I give and bequeath to the said Ralph Lodge and Thomas John Masterman their executors (?) and assigns all my monies seurities (?) for money and all that the policy or security for a (?) sum of money payable to my executors administrators or assigns by the (?) Life Insurance Company and all other my personal estate and efforts not hereinbefore specifically bequeathed upon the trusts following (that is to say) upon trust to (?) such parts into money as shall no (?) thereof and to pay thereout to my daughter Elizabeth Alice the sum of four hundred and fifty pounds. To my daughter Jane now the wife of Thomas Topham the sum of fifty pounds payable so soon as (?) may be after my decease. To my daughters Margaret and Alice Elizabeth the sum of five hundred and fifty pounds a piece and I (?) the said two last mentioned legacies to be retained by my said executors and placed out upon mortgage or upon goverment securities and the interest or dividends thereon arising be applied for the benefit of my said two daughters until they shall marry or attain their respective ages of twenty one years and as to the said residue of the monies to arise from my personal estate upon trust to divide the same between and amongst my sons Chrostopher, Thomas and Edward as soon as (?) may be after my decease and retain the share of my said son Edward until he shall have attained the age of twenty one years and place out the same upon mortgage or government securities and apply the interest or dividends for his benefit until he attains that age.

I appoint the said Ralph Lodge and Thomas John Masterman executors of this my will and I declare that they shall no be answerable one for another and by no means for involuntary (?) and that they shall be allowed (?) (?) out of the said trust all their costs, charges, damages and expenses to be incurred by reason of their acting or having accepted the trusts thereof and I hereby revoke all my former wills.

In witness whereof I the said Thomas Other the testator have to this my last will and testament (?) in this and the preceding sheet of paper set my hand and seal the day and year first within written.
