Memorandum that Anne Calverte late of Ridmer in the parish of Wensley of the Archdeaconry of Richmond and Diocese of Chester (derers?) did upon or about the ninth day of August last being there of (..for.) minde and sound (dis..eing) memorie (...) (...) (...) (de.laed) her last will and minde in these the like words in effort following, viz:

I doe give and bequeath unto [Anne Gayle daughter - crossed out] [(...) Gayle wife - inserted] of John Gayle [and Anne her daughter - inserted] my grandchilde all (word crossed out) my household goods [and (...) - inserted] whatsoever, except one (...) (...) which I give unto Robert Calverte my sonn for and during his natural life, and after his decease I give the said (wains...?) unto Christopher Gayle my grandchilde

which sayd words were spoke in the (...) and hearing of Dorothy (Spente?) and Ellen (Hassifoer?), Edward Slayer and Alice Gayle
