1841 Census

The only Bearpark family in Redmire in 1841 is Henry and his wife Hannah:

Henry was baptized 12 April 1774, the son of Henry Bearpark, a hosier, and Eleanor nee Metcalfe. He married Hannah Peacock (the daughter of Edmund Peacock and Isabel Robinson) on 8 March 1808. Hannah had been baptized in Redmire 25 December 1770. They had had three children, none of which are left at home in 1841:
  1. Ann: baptized 27 May 1810
  2. Isabella: baptized 22 September 1812
  3. Henry: baptized 26 November 1813, buried 1 July 1827

1851 Census

By 1851, Henry is a widower: his wife Hannah was buried in Redmire on 8 February 1848. This is the last time we see Henry as well, as he is buried in Redmire 19 July 1853, and no more Bearparks appear in Redmire census returns.

Living with Henry now is his daughter Isabella's new family, recently moved back to Redmire from Reeth. The young Hannah Bearpark is perhaps the Hannah Eleanor Bearparke baptized 23 December 1838 at Manchester Cathedral, daughter of Richard Bearparke and Isabella.
