James was the widower of Arabella (nee BARRAS) who was buried 17 Apr
1837, aged 59yrs. This couple married in Redmire 15 May 1808.
Although James is described here as a farmer, at the baptisms of his
children 1815-1822 he was described as a grocer.
- Ann baptized 29 Apr 1810, daughter of James & Arabella
- George baptized 16 Feb 1817, son of James & Arabella
- Jane baptized 14 Apr 1822, daughter of James & Arabella
- John baptized 30 Mar 1803, son of James & Arabella
- Mary baptized 26 Apr 1801, dau of James & Arabella
The identity of the younger children is not yet established as no
baptisms have been found for them. It is possible that Mary aged 40,
is not the daughter of James and Arabella baptized above, but the wife
of John. The children could then belong to John.
